Do you know that if you lay a potted plant on its side and leave it for a week, something amazing happens. the plant's stem will turn upwards! plant have a chemical called auxin. this made the plant cells grow long. gravity pulls the auxin down. this builds up along the bottom of the stem. the cells grow a longer where the auxin build up makes the stem turn upwords!!!!!!!!!!!!
